Builders and home automation

As I mentioned before it is not difficult to predict that the demand for smart homes will rise dramatically over the next ten years. This is of course great if you're like me and look forward to getting your hands on the best home automation technology has to offer but for the builder this may seem like a rather worrying concept, especially as standards such as Insteon and x10 make way for more high-tech structured wired solutions, where most buiilders simply do not have the technical expertise to design and install these systems.

The builder could always turn to a local home automation installer but then the builder will most likely lose out on the potential profit that could be gained from a creating a smart home. The solution would be to hire the services of an organisation... that will provide the design, programming and components necessary to create the smart home but will give instructions on how to install the system, allowing the builder to gain substantial profit. Happy days!
